Plenty of points too to charge batteries etc. Just bring a chair - and a boat! On the Saturday it is more than likely we will have some HSME members and their families will be running some trains and you are most welcome to join in with them too. No charge for joining us and we hope to see you and any of your colleagues and their families. We will have our cafe open and they will be selling tea, coffee, sandwiches and snacks etc. Toilet facilities are also available.

Unfortunately the Clubs Fun Day scheduled for this coming Sunday has had to be cancelled due to a combination of weather and weed conditions at Over Basin.

Members of the Club attended the Sharpness SARA Station event last weekend. The Station is one of seven bases providing vital rescue services along the length of the River Severn and inland waterways and was featured by ITV News West Country: some members boats can be seen briefly. A great day was had by all at a superb venue, and we were delighted that the Club's boats were recognised with both the Best Boat on the Water award and the Runner-Up award. Many thanks to the organisers for another excellent event - we're already looking forward to next year.

There are extensive repairs to the Over road bridge to be carried out in the next eight months which will result in various lane closures at times. Initially only the westbound carriageway will be utilised for traffic which will result in a contraflow system. This means that there will no right turn off the carriageway to Over basin for traffic going west ie from Gloucester. Instead access to Over basin can only be achieved by going down to the Linton roundabout and returning going east. Once past Over farm shop, access to Over basin can be achieved taking the bus lane as the east bound traffic has returns to the other carriage way.
Exit from Over basin is more simple - turn left and merge into the east bound traffic after the bridge.
It is envisaged that there will be significant delays at peak times and so members should take this into account when planning a visit to Over. A larger map can be viewed on the Over Basin Page and then scrolling down.
